Smartphone shipments in India declined by 51 percent year-over-year (YoY) to just over 1.8 crore units in the second quarter of 2020 due to the coronavirus-led lockdown, Counterpoint Research said on Friday. Xiaomi continued its leadership in the quarter despite facing supply constraints owing to COVID-19 and raising anti-China sentiment.
